30 Days to the Rest of My Life
Today, marked the start of my 30-Day Super Food Nutrition Cleanse and Fat Burning System. I know what you are thinking, “You have been had! It’s a scam!” Yadda yadda. Well, think what you want. For MONTHS, I was skeptical about jumping atop this bandwagon. I mean for MONTHS a friend of mine kept trying to get me to try it and I refused. I tried everything else EXCEPT this Super Food Nutrition Program. Then finally, after seeing some incredible results with a close friend, my boyfriend and I took the plunge and ordered. Naysayers, you are entitled to your opinions, but this is my life, my choice, and I am choosing to better myself. The end :-). Somehow a smiley face softens blows, doesn’t it?
So I decided I would blog daily about my progress, thoughts and feelings about the product. I mean, does it really work? Let’s find out.
Day 1: Monday, June 9, 2014: Excited, Hopeful and Hungry
I am hungry. My boyfriend is hungry. We are both hungry. This could be a recipe for disaster.
I started my day with my shake but within an hour I was ravenous. I ate 2 green apples before guzzling what seemed like gallons of water to stave off hunger until my lunchtime shake and summer nap session.
Hiked.
Was tired.
Ate some carrots and then went food shopping. I bought fresh produce like cucumbers, tomatoes, celery, and sweet potatoes. I also purchased some organic turkey, eggs, and chicken. I don’t know, call me crazy but just buying this stuff already made me feel lighter–healthier.
Eagerly, I came home and washed all the fruits and veggies. I even packed nuts into pre-portioned baggies, doled out humus and almond butter into mini-single-serving Tupperware and stuffed baggy upon baggy with veggies. This felt good, this felt very good. I snacked on veggies while bagging and my boyfriend cooked. We had grilled chicken with sautéed baby kale, tomatoes, and brown rice for dinner.
I felt satisfied and happy. Albeit I was nursing a headache from what I attributed to simply adopting a new eating approach, but I didn’t feel unwell by any means. What I really felt was hopeful that I was taking a proactive step in the process to regain health and to empower myself once again. I felt very in control and in looking at my day, [and I HATE to say this] for the first time in a VERY long time, I ate more fresh veggies and fruit than I had in way too long. So far, despite feeling a little hungry and tired, I feellllllllll good.
